French country home

My first home in France is now for sale. It has been a dearly loved property. We discovered it in 1990 while driving through the surrounding countryside. The pastoral landscape unchanged for centuries took my breath away, and this charming cozy house hidden amidst lush vegetation captured my heart. Since 2001 it has been the much enjoyed and meticulously cared for vacation home of iconic American landscape painter Gregory Kondos. Many of his famous iris paintings were inspired by the gardens here.
He and his wife Moni have now reluctantly decided to sell it because Gregory at 87 years old finds the travel from California too difficult.

  1. This is great to see how beautiful this house has become. Endless work for so many of us but this is a piece of art.
I do have older pictures of the place if anyone is interested.
